Local Family Owned and Operated
Searose Yard & Home LLC originated in 2014, founded by the dynamic duo, Searose Hood and Rich Kluser, who first crossed paths in Eugene, Oregon during the late 90s. Their journey began when they acquired their inaugural home together in 2000, igniting a passion for refurbishing and reviving properties in their spare time. While Searose pursued her bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon, Rich honed his craft as a carpenter, later transitioning to a role as a pest and dry rot inspector for a local construction firm.
Rich, a former combat engineer in the US Marine Corps, is a native of Oregon who grew up in Portland. He worked as a realtor in Portland for four years before joining the Carpenters Union, contributing to many iconic projects such as the Light Rail, Portland International Airport, the Marion County Capitol Building, and the Rose Garden, now known as the Moda Center.
Searose, a native of Yachats, Oregon beckoned the pair back to her hometown in 2007, where they laid down roots, expanding their family to include three remarkable children. Their entrepreneurial spirit thrived as they initially established themselves in Yachats with a lawn maintenance venture. In 2014, armed with their General Contractor's License and certification as Renovators, they officially launched Searose Yard & Home, LLC.
Since obtaining their contractor's license, the company has burgeoned, boasting a dedicated team of 12 full-time professionals. Rich’s skills and expertise, combined with Searose’s intellect, form the perfect business match. Their portfolio speaks volumes, encompassing a myriad of successful projects spanning the central Oregon coast.
